The San Gabriel Region of Catholic Charities Los Angeles has named the Allen Lund Company and the Lund family a Spirit of Caring Awardee.
ALC and the Lund family will be honored for this distinction at the Catholic Charities San Gabriel Region Volunteer Recognition Dinner on Wednesday, May 8. The Spirit of Caring Award recognizes individuals and organizations who make a difference in their communities through a strong commitment to the service of others.
The company was selected for its work through its Acts of Kindness program. Led by Allen Lund before his passing in 2018, the initiative challenges every office and department to give back to their communities through acts of service. To date, the company averages a hundred acts each year across all offices and employees.
In addition to the company’s nationwide Acts of Kindness, ALC employees and the Lund family have focused their time and efforts in the Greater Los Angeles area through involvement with Catholic Charities, Navidad en el Barrio, St. Vincent de Paul Society, Verbum Dei Jesuit High School, and the St. Edward Retreat Center and Camp Lolek.
